Mr. Schuyler Cunningham ([email protected]), MSW, LICSW, LCSW-C, BCD, OSW-C is an award winning social worker and researcher. His extensive experience includes practicing social work at the Washington Cancer Institute, the DC Rape Crisis Center, the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center, and The Washington, DC Center for Neurocognitive Excellence. Schuyler’s clinical experience includes Consultant status in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), providing supervision to EMDR practitioners, providing Infra-Slow Frequency neurofeedback
Ms. Aida Sophia Gruden ([email protected]), Investigator, is a life coach who trained with Martha Beck Institute and is currently a candidate for a Masters of Clinical Mental Health at Johns Hopkins University. She is expected to graduate in May of 2019. Before going back to school Ms. Gruden was an Art Director and designed projects for HGTV, TLC, Style, and Discovery channels. Her research interests include personal trauma and the physiological and somatic manifestation. Ms. Gruden is influenced by the work of Drs. Bessel Van der Kolk and Peter Levine and how expressive arts can act as therapeutic mechanisms for healing trauma. In her free time, she enjoys painting, sculpting and nature walks with her family. She speaks French and enjoys engaging with different languages and cultures.
Ms. Leah Chiaverini ([email protected]), MSW, LCSW-C, Investigator, is a native Washingtonian, growing up in Bethesda, Maryland. She received her degree in Psychology with a minor in Leadership from Christopher Newport University and Masters in Social Work with summa cum laude honors from the University of Maryland Baltimore. She currently serves as a geriatric medical social worker. Passionate about horses since she was a toddler, she obtained her certification in equine-assisted psychotherapy through the EAGALA program and maintains particular interest in this model as it relates to individuals with trauma.
